FTV 210: Introduction to Production Practices
Section 1
Instructor: David Wing
This Spring Semester for FTV 210 started no differently than last Fall. We embraced the Covid 19 environment by going full Online once again. Students Zoomed in from such places as Phoenix, Lake Havasu, Detroit, Boston, Boulder, Huntington Beach and Ireland, to name a few. Under daunting equipment limitations, isolation and relying on family or friends, FTV 210 students came up with incredibly creative productions.
FTV 210 students took up the challenge of each given project, to produce a visionary and innovative video that represents their inspiration on the screen. I’m extremely proud of each student’s resulting accomplishment.

The TFTV faculty and fellow students.
“I think the point of cinematography, of what we do, is intimacy. Is intent, is the balance between the familiar and the dream, it is being subjective and objective, it is being engaged and yet standing back and noticing something that perhaps other people didn’t notice before, or celebrating something that you feel is beautiful or valid, or true or engaging in some way.”
